heh, so i returned from the jafax, which is a anime convention. nothing home here is out of the ordinary, but the trip, oh the trip is worthy of a story.

as the tale goes, me and my comrades arrived on saturday, a bit tired, but nonetheless hyped for the fest. i was dressed as the humble Leon from resident evil 2, and a few of the other people i went with dressed up too. Im glad they did, i would have felt a bit out of place otherwise.

i cannot confirm the names being right as i know nothing about naruto, nor do i pretend to, unless it seems like i am, in which case slap the crap out of me.

regardless, everyone was having a blast, running around, chatting with people, eating pocky, usual con stuff. it seemed people kinda wandered on their own that day, but it was ok, i met some great people at the artist's alley, and i got a fairy in a bottle. i useually dont buy such trinkets, but it was SOOOO CUTE! regardless,(its fun, try it in your vocab today!) it was getting kinda late so we tried to go to the campgrounds.

i use the word try because the soul of my car was sucked into a black void, where only the crafty and brave could even have a hope of retreiving it, a man by the name of ash williams........or the starter broke. pick your favorite option. this was quite an bonus because the auto shops didn't open till monday.

regardless, our group pulled together, and figured out a plan to stay for the second day of the con. this involved lots of 10 min trips, and by lots i mean three. i was pretty bummed that night, but at least there was pizza sammiches. good stuff.

sunday rolls around, and i throw on the old RPD suit. i go around and try to have a good time, but its kinda hard when you don't know where your gonna sleep for the night in a strange city. then i ran into a friend of mine, who was helping to run the con, and he gave me an offer i couldn't refuse: volunteer, and you'll win a room for the night. so from that point on, i ran around in costume, running errands, selling pizza and taking pictures. i even think there is a photo floating around of me selling the pizza.

regardless( i likeee my words, skraggit!), the festival came to a close, and at this point, im the only one left in the group out at jafax. i begin to clean, and help make the place look decent. it was at a college, so we had to hurry for class tomarrow. after the cleaning was done, all of us volunteers went to a mongolian BBQ- ish place. as to be expected, it was pretty good. after we leave there, we crash in a dorm, and hang out with some of the guests from the con. i tell you what folks, it was pretty cool to be able to make smores with the man who does the voice of the golden boy.

after watching the night away with a series called school rumble (which i recomend), it was smooth sailing from there. managed to get my car to a shop, get it fixed, and back on the road.

the moral of the story: cool stuff happens when your car breaks down at a anime convention, like people helping you every step of the way, and meeting new faces, along with old voices. so cheer up, and keep an open mind, you never know what opretunities will present themselves.
